The problem: _________________.
Lukewarm – temperature _______________ warm and cold; _____________________________ about something.
15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. If only you were cold or hot! 16 So, because you are lukewarm and not hot or cold, I am about to spit you out of my mouth. (Re 3:15–16)
… you are dead (Rev 3:1)

Hey, all of you who are thirsty, come to the water, even if you have no money! Come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. (Is 55:1)

The solution: _____________________.
19 I rebuke and discipline those whom I love. So take this seriously and repent. 20 Look, I stand at the door and I am knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will go in with him and dine with him, and he with me. (Re 3:19-20)
8 Indeed, it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—9 not by works, so that no one can boast. (Eph 2:8–9)
Or do you have so little regard for his rich kindness, his restraint, and his patience, that you ignore the fact that the purpose of God’s kindness is to lead you to repentance? (Ro 2:4)
21 To the one who is victorious I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 Whoever has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. (Re 3:21–22)
There will no longer be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city. His servants will worship him. (Re 22:3)
… for the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd. He will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. (Re 7:17)
John, To the seven churches in the province of Asia: Grace to you and peace from him who is, who was, and who is coming, and from the seven spirits that are before his throne (Re 1:4)
Points to Ponder
- What is one thing that stood out for you from this week’s message?
- What does it mean for Jesus to be “The Amen” for us?
- The Laodiceans were useless to God because of their belief in their self-sufficiency. Where do you see that creeping into your life or the life of your church?
- What priorities in your life need to be readjusted?
