1 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council. 2 He came to Jesus at night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God, for no one can do these miraculous signs you are doing unless God is with him.” (Jn 3:1–2)

6 For at the appointed time, while we were still helpless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 It is rare indeed that someone will die for a righteous person. Points to Ponder

  1. What is one thing that stood out to you from this week's message?

  2. Explain this statement, “An image of the source of their pain and death—a snake becomes the means by which God heals, saves them.” Why was this so important for Nicodemus to understand?

  3. Explain this statement, “Only in Jesus can your sins be fully judged AND you are not destroyed in hell for eternity.” Why was this so important for you to understand?
