39b such a sharp disagreement that they parted company. Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed away to Cyprus, 40 but Paul chose Silas and set out, after being entrusted to the grace of the Lord by the brothers. (Ac 15:39b–40)
The Lord opened her heart to pay close attention to what Paul was saying. (Ac 16:14b)
As she followed Paul and us, she kept crying out, 'These men are servants of the Most High God, who are proclaiming to you the way to be saved' (Ac 16:17)
19 When her owners saw that their hope of making money was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace before the authorities. 20 They had brought them to the magistrates and said, "These men are throwing our city into a state of confusion. They are Jews, 21 and they are teaching customs that are not lawful for us to accept or practice, since we are Romans." (Ac 16:19–21)
But the magicians did the same thing by their occult practices and brought frogs up onto the land of Egypt. (Ex 8:7)
And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. (2 Co 11:14)
For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive even the elect, if it were possible. (Mt 24:24)
The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan, with every kind of miracle, that is, with false signs and wonders. (2 Th 2:9)
Let no one be found among you ... who uses divination, or who engages in fortune telling, or who observes omens, or who practices witchcraft. (Dt 18:10)
14 Do not travel on the path of the wicked. Do not walk in the way of evil people. 15 Avoid it! Do not travel on it! Turn away from it. Pass it by. (Pr 4:14–15)
22 When the crowd also joined in the attack against them, the magistrates tore off their clothes and ordered them to be beaten with rods. 23 After they had beaten them severely, they threw them into prison and ordered the jailer to guard them securely. 24 Because he received such a command, the jailer threw them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks. (Ac 16:22–24)

Instantly all the doors were opened, and everyone's chains came loose. 27 When the jailer woke up and saw that the prison doors were opened, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, because he thought that the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul shouted with a loud voice, "Don't harm yourself, because we are all here!" (Ac 16:26–28)
29 The jailer called for lights, rushed in, and fell down trembling in front of Paul and Silas. 30 Then he brought them outside and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" (Ac 16:29–30)

[God] will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain, because the former things have passed away. (Re 21:4)
